Market Town Charm, Pint of your finest
The Bay Horse, Hutton Rugby
A great pub for lunch – and a cute restaurant for dinner too. The Bay Horse also has a wonderful beer garden so head here for your spritzer if the sun is shining.
The Black Bull, Yarm
The favourite haunt of Yarm’s elite, this is a real gem of a pub on the high street. Inside you’ll find lovely dark interiors and wooden beams with plenty of nooks and crannies to hide away in. It also has one of the best beer gardens around.
The Black Horse Swainby
The Black Horse at Swainby has the feel of a comfortable country house with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Their aim is to make you "feel as comfortable as you would at home but without the washing up" and GW feel they have achieved this. They offer good food and drink and a relaxing lounge area with two roaring log fires to compensate for the colder months.
The Blue Bell
This pub has got to have the best location in Yarm town. Perched on the banks of the Tees with a beer garden overlooking the river and viaduct, it is a great choice for afternoon drinks if the sun is shinning.
The Crathorne Arms
The Crathorne Arms in Yarm is a short stroll from the magnificent Crathorne Hall. The award winning restaurant in the Arms is pretty much the perfect spot for a pub lunch - Sunday lunches in particular are incredibly popular.
The Crown, Helmsley
Like all pubs around the main square The Crown is a former coaching inn dating back as far as the 16th Century. There are two bars serving a selection of traditional ale, and although the place has been modernised, you still get a feel for the old charm. Pub grub is also availalble.
The Oak, Great Ayton
Sitting opposite the village green, the Oak is a pub of two halves. We recommend starting in the lounge and making your way to the bar for last orders! Good food here too if you fancy some pub grub.
The Royal Oak
This pub has a little something for everyone, with the match on the telly and a pool table round the back. If you prefer a quieter experience, turn left on your way in to the quaint, laid back lounge. The Royal Oak serves up fantastic pub food, with seasonal fresh produce.
The White Swan, Stokesley
Voted best pub several years running, this place has a loyal bunch of regulars and its own brewery to boot.
