The ancestral home of the Cunliffe-Lister family, this lavishly furnished luxury hotel combines stately elegance with a relaxed at home feel.  Set just outside Harrogate on the cusp of stunning Nidderdale, it has all the facilities you would expect from a top notch country hotel.  If you want to play Lord or Lady of the Manor for a few days, this is the place.

Guests have access to the hotel Spa which features a Jacuzzi, sauna and relaxation zone as well as several treatment rooms with a good range of pampering treats for the face and body.  If you fancy donning the tweed and striking out across the estate, the hotel can arrange a number of country pursuits within the grounds, including fishing, falconry and off-road driving.

Samuel's, the hotel's 3 AA rosette restaurant, is a deserved recipient of a string of accolades and awards.  Swinton Park hotel has a 4 acre walled garden where much the restaurant's fruit, vegetables and herbs are grown and game, fish and venison are also sourced from the estate.  If you want to get more hands on, Swinton Park also run a series of Chef's table events throughout the year on Friday evenings.  Alternatively, book yourself in for a cookery course run in the state of the art kitchens housed in the refurbished Georgian stables.

Swinton Park hotel's thirty one bedrooms are all individually decorated in traditional style, reflecting the opulence of the surrounding estate.  For the ultimate in grand living, book one of the five suites.  Our favourite, The Turret, is set across three stunning floors and has a bathroom to die for. 

All of the bedrooms come equipped with WiFi access, CD players and flat screen TVs and the suites also come furnished with Anne Semonin bath products.   Dinner, bed and breakfast bookings include a traditional Wensleydale tea on arrival and complimentary newspaper every day.
